Tmarchives is a large site due to all the material that had to be collected. It will continue to grow so long as there is a spiritual presence on Urantia and there are documents and historical events to record for future students of religion, philosophy, and history. It is a resource for all who may wish to use it and does so without charge. Due to the un-ending time requirements for the archive to be available to students, the site must be modernized from time to time. Modernization of the site includes updating how the site works by rewriting code, adding text, and changing graphics, to present its content. The plan for tmarchives.com is to add bandwidth so that in spite of heavy traffic the site will not experience download problems on your internet browser. Plans are to place from between 5 to 7 mirror sites around the world to help regulate traffic flow. In addition, the present archive site is beginning to outgrow its designed capabilities when it comes to the number of pages that contain different kinds of materials and documents. A re-design of substantial proportions is planned when resources become available. Meanwhile, other projects for the archive are to be addressed to keep the library from falling behind as new sources of material become available and new projects for publication eventually become necessary to address and act upon. In the next two years (from 2007 onward), we need to raise in excess of $100,000 to meet the operating costs for the referenced changes noted above and the on-going expenses of maintaining the network envisioned to keep tmarchives on the "air" during trying times for the internet. This amount is only an estimate, and it could be more, as we move into the future with its unexpected demands for information to the public. We sincerely hope that much of this may come from the generous support from donors like you who recognize what it takes in manpower and investment to maintain this effort. Each little bit helps. In a sense, there is nothing else like the archive in this day of need for the direct experience of reading what the celestial teaching corps says directly to us and in such variety as is cataloged on tmarchives. All dollars go directly to the work of the archive since no person in the trust receives a salary for service to the Charitable Trust. We thank you for your consideration to assist Starbridge in keeping the archive material freely available to people worldwide so that all cultures will have access to this vital information for their personal spiritual growth and for the betterment of our planet. |
